Somehow, this selection hit home this year. The concluding chorus is so fantastic — how it doesn’t refute nor deny all that came before it, but instead just radically changes the focus. And somehow that is the answer.
This one would be perfect for Jan 7th, the day after Epiphany, the first day after Christmas is over. We are somehow expected to bring the Christ-child into our trivial everyday lives and, Oh God, how do we do this?.. "for the Time Being". Beautiful.
