I listened to the selection twice, not only because of the images and the connections in the poem, in particular the carefully placed fingernail opening a small cardboard Advent window.
What struck me on my first listening was your definition of what makes a poem "good." Hearing you wrap words around the ability to take something concrete and make it universal offered me the language I needed as well as an invitation to keep in mind as I write my own poems. Thank you Sean.
